Just in time for the holidays, I have a little gadget that will keep the smell of fridge leftovers at bay! How many of you end up with a party of aromas mingling to create stenches in your fridge after cooking up a large dinner? Forgot about that box of baking soda that’s been chilling in the door for 6 months didn’t you? Me too.
I was sent the Ionic Fridge air purifier to evaluate. It’s a pretty cool mini purifier and works just like any other air purifier. Safe too.
The Ionic Fridge air purifier cleans the air in refrigerators without having to clean or replace filters. It does, however, use 2 AA batteries that require replacement every 90 days. The Ionic Fridge air purifier’s built-in micro processor controls it’s operation, so it will cycle on and off to save battery life. It costs about $1/month to operate. Oh, and it’s absolutely silent!
As you can see the purifier conveniently fits anywhere in the refrigerator. I mine in the door where I usually keep baking soda. And if you’re concerned about safety, the Ionic Fridge air purifier uses a special technology which allows for a high negative ion output to freshen without the harmful side effects of ozone that is found in standard ionizers. The Ionic Fridge air purifier has received safety certifications from GS and CE as well as the RoHS lead free directive. Made of durable fire-resistant ABS materials. Tested for ozone production by ITI (Industrial Research Technology Institute) and found to be 0.011 ppm which is 78% below FDA limits.
